RESOURCES

The NXL Product Coding System is a standardized format developed exclusively for Next Level Robotics to define and configure motion systems with precision.

NXL PRODUCT CODING SYSTEM

NXL coding structure ensures consistency across products, simplifying specification, integration, and customization. The system is used when selecting and ordering motion systems, with detailed configurations available on this page.

The NXL Product Coding System is essential for configuring and selecting motion solutions, making it easier for engineers and clients to specify robotic systems, automation platforms, and precision motion devices.

Code Example

NL-LR1000-XZYPu

“ U-type machine with 1000 kg payload, capable of linear movement on the X and Z axes, and rotational movement on the Yaw and Pitch axes. ”

System Structure & Configuration

The product code follows a structured format:
NL – [Primary Movement Type] [Secondary Movement Type] [Payload (kg)] – [Primary Movement Axis] [Secondary Movement Axis] [Optional Specification]

  • Movement Type: Defines whether the system features Linear (L) or Rotational (R) motion.
  • Payload (kg): Indicates the maximum load capacity.
  • Movement Axis: Specifies movement directions using X, Y, Z for linear motion and Y, P, R for rotational motion, with possible axis combinations.
  • Optional Specifications: Additional features, such as U-Type or L-Type Rotators, can be included for enhanced functionality.

Movement & Axis Definitions

  • Linear Motion (L): Moves along X, Y, or Z axes, with combinations like XY, XZ, or XYZ.
  • Rotational Motion (R): Rotates around Yaw (Y), Pitch (P), or Roll (R) axes, supporting combinations such as YP, PY, or YPR.

Important

The movement types are always listed in ascending order from the ground, ensuring a consistent and logical system structure. If only one movement type is required, the secondary movement fields remain blank.
